Cruel, tough love, reality check.
I attended a workshop in Thailand and the speaker asked a student:
"So how much money do you want to make in your business?"
The student answered:
"A million dollars a year."
The speaker then asked the student:
"How many prospects do you talk to each week?"
The student answered:
"About 4 or 5 prospects."
The speaker said:
"There is a giant disconnect here. It appears that you want to talk to only 4 or 5 people a week much more than your desire to make a million dollars. To make a million dollars you will have to talk to at least 30 or 40 prospects a day. It will take a huge effort to make that million dollars.
"So tell me, what are you going to decide to do? Are you going to decide to talk to 30 or 40 prospects a day to have a chance to earn a million dollars?
"Or are you going to choose to only talk to 4 or 5 prospects a week, accept a small bonus check, and lie to yourself and fool yourself into believing you can eventually earn a million dollars?"
Now, that is harsh. But so true.
Wishing, wanting and hoping are easy to do. Everyone does that.
But look at the activity you are doing now. Is that the activity that is going to earn you the bonus check you really want?

Been busy!
havent updated the blog much this week because i've been talking to people about this incredible business!!!!
What could happen?
What would your future look like if you get committed to make 50,000 phone calls to speed up your success?
If you knew, without a doubt, that making that many calls would increase your income so much that you could reach your outrageous goals, would you get up earlier and make your phone plans? Would you make more calls than you are making today?
I Bargained For Life
"I bargained with life for a penny, and life would pay no more. However I begged at evening, when I counted my scanty store. For life is just an employee, he gives just what you ask; but once you have set the wages, why, you must bear the task. I worked for a menial's hire, only to learn dismayed, that any wage I had asked of life, life would have willingly paid"

If you want to be a rich person, you need to think and act like a rich person. Be the person you want to become.
Thanks for this one Stuart!!!

more justin case....
Hi,
Got this from Big Al (if you don’t subscribe to his newsletter go to www.fortunenow.com) and gave out 10 business cards, stress free, to total strangers using this exact method today....
In the petrol station
“i bet you are loving being inside in all this rubbish weather we are having”
“no not really”
“oh really, well take my business card just in case”
To the ice-cream man
“i bet you are really looking forward to a good summer”
“it’ll probably rain”
“oh really, well take my business card just in case”
To the guy making my number plates
“holidays this year?”
“no, not in the economic climate so to speak”
“oh really, well take my business card just in case”
The key is to say a complement about how great their current job / business is and they will do one of two things;
1) Agree, in which case you bid them good day and move on
2) They disagree, and you put your business card/DVD into their hand
Easy!

Monday...
Half term this week, Nicky is home from school and Tina is working in a local gym until Thursday to help the owner out of a tight spot so I'm at home with Dawson all week.
On my way to Legoland I listened to Dani Johnson's prospect and close your way to millions - its nothing short of spectacular. The question everyone needs to ask themselves is "how may people did you speak to yesterday?" so tomorrow I am going to answer that question. My target is to speak to 20 people today, lets see how well I do!
Events for today;
COE in Cardiff
Team meeting in the David Lloyd at 6pm
Clive Leach's special pre-cop event at 7pm
Cardiff COP at 8pm

Justin Case
if you've read this month's news plus you'll have seen and hopefully read a brief 1/4 page article written by Mr Steve Critchley.
Hopefully you realise already but if not Steve has provided in this small article an absolute killer method of giving out business cards, DVDs, independences etc....
"Justin Case"
here you go take one of my business cards... just in case
here you go take this DVD... just in case
they're going to do one of only two things;
1) say "ok"
2) say "just in case what"
if its (2) you say;
Just in case you ever want to make more money.... Just in case you want to save money on your utilities... Just in case you want to... WHATEVER!!!
This is BRILLIANT... Thank you VERY MUCH Steve... I gave out 5 business cards today to TOTAL strangers using this exact method...

Dani Johnson's prospect and close your way to millions.

OK, birthday over, time to get in gear....
The title says it all... tomorrow is Friday and as far as I am concerned is day #1
Wednesday, 1 April 2009
what a feeling....
you DO NOT want this to happen to you....
A tenant of the office called today to ask if he could change his utilities over to a new supplier... Why havent I offered them cheaper utilities already I hear you ask... Good question, they were checked in pre-business and they are "on my list"...
Naturally I asked who they were transferring too and thats when I got the bombshell... Utility Warehouse, he'd signed up as a distributor in a different team... OUCH!!!!
Moral of the story...
Whenever I am putting something off, wasting time or generally not giving the business the attention it deserves I am going to remember today and be reminded that you snooze... you lose..

- having a list is no good unless you speak to the people on that list
- Speak to everyone
- Do not prejudge people
- do not put it off, someone on your list could be on someone else's list

My Daily Activity
Today is my oldest son’s 13th birthday (I don’t look old enough I know) so my activity for today is going to be near zero and I’m happy to admit it. From Thursday my activity will be;
Telephone calls made from warm list 5
Text messages sent 15
Business Cards given out 3
DVDs given out 5
Independence newspapers given out 30
Money presentations given 4
Personal development 30 minutes

Micro cards
I just ordered 500 micro cards from Printwell, the business opportunity kind.
Not 100% on what I'm going to do with them yet but they were cheap enough. Dont really want to go down the same route as our friends at Kleeneze, sticking them to car doors in the local Asda but who knows.

Welcome!!!
Welcome to day one of my new blog... The burning question is: What's the point of it???
For me, accountability. Its been said a million times before but this business is walking the walk, not talking the talk. Writing this blog is going to give me focus and accountability, primarily because I am going to be brutally accurate and honest about my activity (or lack of) and successes (or lack of) in building this business to 5*NMD
For those that take the time out of their lives to read it, hopefully it will educate and provide a yard-stick to measure your own activity against.
Whats the difference between my business, your business and someone like Jimmy Chapman's business? we have the same products, the same opportunity, the same support, the same compensation plan, the same market... the only variable is you (and me) so it must stand to reason the only thing that could potentially stop your business becoming as massive as Jimmy's business is the person sitting in your seat right now... i.e. you!
Does that give you hope? or fill you with terror? if it fills you with terror then you know what you need to work on... YOU!!!
ok, enough rambling... lets crack on with it - speak to you tomorrow
Kind Regards
Leighton
